How to get your registration ID number online (for Broward County Florida)

I just found a major security hole in the Florida Voter Registration System.... I wonder if I should tell someone. Your voter registration ID is 'pose to be private. You are only 'pose to be able to get it if you fill out a full replacement request online and physically mail it to the elections office and then wait for it to be mailed back to your home address. If you try to look up your registration ID it's not shown to you, but rather just whether or not you are registered to vote, in which county, and when you registered. Well I found a way around that because I needed my registration ID to homestead my house and I don't have it and I didn't want to wait 2 weeks to request it by mail.

Well here is how to get your registration ID number online.

Step 1: Go to

Enter your information on the first page.

Then enter the security challenge code on the second page.

Step 2: Click on the "Your Absentee Ballot Status"
Then on the results page where you see your name and information there are two links on the right hand side. Click on the one that reads "Your Absentee Ballot Status."

Step 3: Look up in the URL for your registration ID.

Now up in the URL you'll see your Florida Voter Registration ID.

So anyone who knows your First and Last Name, and your Birthday can get your Voter Registration ID and print up a fake voter registration card.
